The February edition of the monthly magazine Mysteri Bonita has just announced that Abi Umeda’s manga titled “Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau” will get an anime adaptation. This series also celebrates the announcement by displaying its character on the front cover.
The story of this manga takes place in a world covered by sand. A boy named Chakuro lives on a boat called Mud Whale / Mud Whale that swims in the desert. Chakuro and his friends never see the outside world and dream if they can get adventurous and learn about the outside world every day. One day, a damaged ship got stuck and they found a girl in it.

Synopsis Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau – Fall anime with the title Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau tells about the events in 93 Sunakan, when the whole earth is covered by sand oceans. There are people who are on the island called Mud Whale whale is the size of a small island. The inhabitants of this island number 513 people and they never come into contact with the outside world.
Society is divided into several types of people. There are Shirushi who are the source of emotion, there is Saimia which allows them to cut their own lives into short, and they are without the ability of life long, Muin. They live together even though they are on a small island in exile.
Chakuro is a 14-year-old archivist from Mud Whale. Chakuro and his friends have deliberately discovered other islands, but they have never met, seen, or even heard of a human other than their own island.
One day, Chakuro visits a big island like Mud Whale and meets a mysterious girl named Rikosu. This is the first time someone from the Chakuro community meets with someone from the outside world. Is this meeting a good news that will open the door to a new world?
